LET'S GO WEST!!!
If this is your first visit to the TEENS WESTWARD BOUND web site….. We are glad you are here!! This site is primarily for past participants and current participants that have been fortunate enough to be nominated or selected for this summer’s experience. Family members and those that have been accepted to go on the incredible TWB program this summer (2010) will find some “fun facts” too as you surf our site.
The dates for the 2010 Teens Westward Bound program will be from June 19th until July 11th for the first TWB experience. The second TWB Trek will be from June 21st until July 13th.
The TWB Advisory Board has set the dates for the Teens Westward Bound “Fun Presentations”. We will be showing the pictures and telling TWB stories across the Carolinas nineteen time this year. Please click on the “Slideshow Dates” on the left side of the webpage to see where the fun team will be near you.
More BIG NEWS!!!! The summer before last Teens Westward Bound developed an online TWB day by day “Travel Blog”. During the twenty-day experience of traveling our great country last summer our friends and family were able to visit the Teens Westward Bound web site each day and see pictures and journal entries that were written by the participants. To say that it was viewed constantly is an understatement. During our twenty-three day jaunt across America we receive over 282,000 unique page views!! Even thought we didn’t talk to them everyday our friends and family watched us every day. At the top of this page click on the TRAVEL BLOG of one of the treks and you will be able to go to each day and relive a day in the life of a TWB’er. The blog for TWB 2010 will be posted the week before we leave.
Please feel free to browse this official TWB Homepage. We have some new things that we think will be helpful, such as the FAQ section for parents and friends of the 2009 participants. We will be posting the 2010 information in early May. Come back often because our webmasters (Denny and Grant) are constantly adding and changing things.
